My mom was talking to my girlfriends mom and told me that i cant see her that much because she has emotional problems and they used to be much worse but the thing is it pains me and passionately motivates me to become a better man just for her. I know she loves because she shows it and I know it and her family loves me which is why they allowed her to date me and no one else even though she isn't supposed to be dating until shes 18.The one thing that my parents and her parents dint understand is that we make each other happy beyond all measure and from what her cousin and Friends tell me is that they have never seen her happier but how can I be there for her in this tough time if i cant physically be with her that much or even talk on the phone that much? Please help because I may be 18 she may be 17 but we do want to spend the rest of our lives with each other. Were even traveling to Costa Rica next summer together for her family's wedding so what should I do?

Hi guys!! So, i am starting the ukulele (at least I want to) and I am trying to buy a ukulele. So I was wondering, what brand do you think is the best? And which ukulele do you think would be better to play at a formal event(I mean like a concert, soprano, or tenor, I don't want anything bigger really)? How to be better at playing a tenor saxohpone?

I myself am i flute player and i used to play clarinet and my teacher always says stuff about saxophone. He says if your playing and its not sounding right try blowing a little less hard or even if thats not the case your reed might be dry. He says before you do anything you take out your reed and soak it as much as possible. He tells the oboe to keep his reed in a reed case with water in it and lol believe me it works lol. but yeah i hope this helps to recap; soak your reed and blow softer... and mabey try blowing down? i hope i helped :)

How can I reach higher tenor notes?

There are some vocal exercises you can find right on youtube that may help. I may be preaching to the choir, as it were, but a couple thoughts are imperative to accept: as you age and grow, your vocal cords do as well. Vocal cords are stretched by muscles. Muscles can be exercised. Don't overdo your voice or you'll lose it forever!!!! I recommend for quality's sake as well as exercise, that you avoid falsettos like the plague unless there's no avoiding them. Every time you sing, you exercise your voice, but you waste valuable exercise time by singing falsettos (IMO). Singing lots will not only exercise your voice, but will also increase your range. For a quick warm-up, try 1/2 ounce of lemon juice followed by 5 minutes of normal conversation. Then head for a bathroom or waste basket and half cough / half clear your throat. (kind of a growling "HURH") You'll bring up a hunk of crud the size of your head and your voice will almost amaze you! Best of luck!

Saxophone and braces?

I want to start to learn to play the saxophone, but I'm getting braces in a week. So is that going to affect my playing?or hurt my lips? And should I just wait a month or two after o have my braces on befor I start playing th saxophone? And If you know how hard the sax is to play that would be nice to know. Low notes on saxophone sound weird?

Clean out your sax and get a fresh reed. If your reed is damaged in some way it can greatly affect the sound quality of your instrument. Also, an easy way to find out if it's you or the saxophone is to have a friend try to play those same notes and see how it sounds. Good luck!

I agree, I've played tenor sax for four years and if you don't put corn grease on the cork frequently, the cork may break or crumble. The spit just happens naturally, so just wipe it off with a microfiber cloth. That should fix your problem. Good luck!

I think all you can do now is behave like the professional you are. You dont owe this woman anything from the personal point of view, and she does owe you a professional performance at work. Disregard what you see as the elephant in the room. What she may mistakenly believe about you is her own problem, and it is not up to you to explain anything. So I've walked up on a little bit of a dilemma. What can cause bright red/fresh looking bleeding for 2 months every other week almost like clock work?

I had my daughter in 2008 and then my son back in September 2010 then in October 2010 I started on the Depot shot then in April 2011 i went off the shot. then in june of 2011 i started bleeding i thought that it was just my period stating again nothing new. But then about a week later i started bleeding again and ever sense then i have been bleeding every week starting on like a sunday and stopping on a wed. but its not the normal period bleeding that i had before starting the shot. I have never have irregular periods in my life. they always were on the 2nd week of the month even after having my daughter. So i took a pregnancy test and it was neg. so i waited 3 weeks and took another and it was neg. so i need help trying to figure out whats going on. the doctors said its normal but i don't think it is at all normal. So help me please!!!!

Is it worth getting a king zephyr tenor saxophone fixed up?

I was given a king zephyr tenor sax on semi-permanent loan. I get it for a long time (probably forever) but in case I need to give it back I can't sell it away. I'm an alto player and I wanted to take up tenor. Should I get it fixed up or should I just buy a modern tenor? The zephyr is model 196,xxx and it has a double socket neck, the three ring neck strap holes, and the old-fashioned clunky squared off pinky keys. How good is the intonation? I know a lot of vintage horns have intonation issues.

Hey, so I've played piano for about 5 years now, I can sight read violin (played for 8 years) like a beast, and can sight-read tenor part like a beast. Haha, not bragging... just saying I've got that down. Anywho, in piano, I feel like I've gotten rather good at emotion and all that jazz, but I feel like the only thing holding me back is my sight reading in piano! Putting both of the clefs together! It takes me a while to learn a piece, and most of the time I just memorize the part and practice it over and over till it's ingrained in the early stages. I would like to be able to just play through music! My teacher said you just have to literally do that--just run through music. Can anyone add to this? so right now im in 8th grade and im really nervous about drumline. im really good at snare, but everybody likes snare and wants to do it. but i really really like tenors. i watch tons of videos and tenors seem very hard, so please tell me drummers, will it become easier than it seems right now to me in high school? will i learn a lot? or am i just not meant for tenors because i have a hard time reading the music

Why cant i hit the notes that i hit like two months ago?

Did I blow my chances of getting the job?

I went on a 1 part interview which went well - the employer said they would make a decision by end of week or next week and I sent a Thank You email same day. So Thursday rolled around and I still haven't heard anything yet, so I decided to send a follow up email expressing continued interest in the position (I was kind of unsure whether I should send it because I didn't want to seem desperate). Well as it turns out, I got a call on Friday from the employer telling me that they wanted me to come in for a 2nd interview on Monday morning. At first they said it was a 1 interview process, but now it's a 2 part interview. So I came in and they asked a few more questions and told me that they were having their candidates take a assessment test. I've never had to for what I do, but I was sure that I would do fine. I did ask how many candidates are in the running for this 2nd round and I also asked by when were they intent on making a decision. They told me by Wed or Thurs, because they want someone in there very soon. When I got home I sent another Thank You email. Well Wed came and went, and I was sure that I would get a call back with either yay or nay on THursday... 4:30 rolls around and I'm in suspense because I still haven't heard anything yet. So I decided to call them to find out where they were in their decision and to politely inform them that they said a decision would be made on Thursday and that I have been interviewing and was actually extended an offer earlier today. I told them that I didn't want to make a decision just yet because I'm more interested in this opportunity and wanted to hear back from them first. All in all the person I spoke with said they were still making a decision and calling references. Should I not have told them that I was extended an offer? My references haven't mentioned to me that anyone called. Did I blow it? I should hear back something tomorrow. Feedback is appreciated.....uuugghh....

Its good as far as material goes but you need to work on flow. Also, try to cut out words like "ever" ("everything that has ever happened in your life) unless it is completely necessary to the ethos. Basically just make it so if you read it out loud, it reads smoothly, that's how you test for good flow.

voice type is more about tone than voice range. you're probably a baritone, tenor, or maybe in between. when you sing the F2, is it actually clear, or is it airy, raspy, and quiet? because if you're struggling to hit that F, you can almost guarantee you're not a bass, maybe even baritone. when you sing the B (which would be B5) does it actually sound clear or does it sound pinched and forced unless you're using falsetto? there are a lot of uncertainties without actually hearing your voice, and if you want a more definitive answer, you should ask a voice teacher.

Do I really have to be baptized?

Fender Rhodes sound -a-like?

i'm a musician, attending berklee college of music. my first instrument is tenor sax, second is guitar, third is voice, and fourth is piano (although i'm really not good at piano, i'm still kind of fishing around) I have always loved the rhodes sound, i've looked up rhodes and frankly they are too expensive for a college student like myself. the piano bass model by Fender looks great, but i can't find them anywhere. what is a small keyboard that can give me that rhodes sound without me breaking my bank account...ps. i have software, it doesn't come close.

I would most likely say that a key isn't closing properly. If you can hit the notes on another sax and before you dropped it, it's probably something is misaligned keeping something from closing all the way. Go back to where it was fixed, and tell them exactly which notes aren't sounding properly, and they'll have a better feel for exactly where the problem is and then they will be able to identify and repair it. If you mention you just had it fixed, but the issue wasn't completely resolved, they might even do it for free.

I need advice and opinions?

I just need honest outside opinions because I am at a lose, This may be long, Im not sure yet. This is my first and only marriage. My wife has four children by 3 different men, I don't have any children of my own. Our problems started when I moved in and realized that she gave all the children a shower at the same time, they would stand in line in the bathroom while she ran them through the shower. They go to church without me and tell me that I cannot come. She lets her kids say whatever they want to me, no matter how disparaging. Her 16 year old, just tonight called me a F*in Prick in front of her and she told him "Good Job". They are going on vacation in a week and my wife told me that I cannot come, that its a "Family" vacation. They spent last Christmas, thanksgiving and new years without me because they left the house and told me I couldn't come. Tiny bug bites, apparently from tiny red bugs?

So ever since I went to a wedding reception last weekend I've been EXTREMELY itchy and have teeny, tiny bumps on my skin. At first i thought maybe it was an allergic reaction that I didn't notice till I got home but I noticed a tiny, tiny, little blood red bug on me, AND I DIDN'T EVEN NOTICE IT BITING, I've seen one of those twice in my room and I'm wondering what it could be and how I could get rid of it. At first I thought, "OH NO BED BUGS", because i noticed some bites where in rows, but these aren't flat like bed bugs, there VERY TINY and blood red, with bums that obviously hold MY blood, and as soon as you see them the bounce off, also the bumps are tiny, and I've heard bed bugs leave large red lumps.... Some more info is that we have cats that regularly go in and out of the house, so they may have carried something and that I live in California, but the weathers been off (rainy, sunny next day etc) so maybe they're appearing because of that? When my Mother passed away a young Catholic priest came into her hospital room and asked us her family if he could pray for her. We said of course.
