?Can anyone recommend a ukelele?

I am thinking about buying a ukelele, but I was looking on websites and I don't know much about them. I don't know the difference between "soprano strings" or "tenor strings" etc. I have taken music classes so I do know what soprano, alto, tenor, baritone and bass are, just not in terms of a ukelele. Can anyone recommend a site(s) where I can read up on them/ buy one? Thank you so much!!! And also what brands are best?
