Is Sonny a good English name?

I'm Chinese and i'm a male. I used this English name since i watched the movie I, Robot, i liked Sonny who is a robot in the film, so i thought maybe it's a good name for me. But after these years, i find there're seldom people called Sonny, like Sonny Rollins who is a Grammy-winning American jazz tenor saxophonist, so i began to doubt whether this's a good name, i don't know whether it means something not good in English. But i've used this name for years, it may cause some trouble if i change it... would u guys give me some suggestions? Thanks in advance! :)
