How is a man wearing jewelry besides a wedding ring and enjoying art considered gay?

I dont think its gay for men to wear jewlery. My dad always has on this turquoise necklace. it's nothing fancy just turquoise beads on a string..I think he looks kinda handome with it on. He also has these silver cuff like bracelets he wears. i dont think its gay for men to wear jewlery at all.
