How to get people to stay in wedding theme.?

I'm planning on a black and white themed wedding. I would like my guests to join in on the theme of wearing black or white to the wedding. I know this is a weird request but I am wearing a colored dress. I just am looking for a polite way to ask guests to stay with in the theme. Please help. Thanks
