High School Drumline?

so right now im in 8th grade and im really nervous about drumline. im really good at snare, but everybody likes snare and wants to do it. but i really really like tenors. i watch tons of videos and tenors seem very hard, so please tell me drummers, will it become easier than it seems right now to me in high school? will i learn a lot? or am i just not meant for tenors because i have a hard time reading the music
