How Does A Clarinet Player learn how to play the Alto or Tenor Sax?

I am in the band at my school, I play the tenor saxophone. My two fellow tenor players both switched to tenor after playing clarinet. The alto sax reads Eb, the tenor reads Bb. The tenor is heavier but after playing it for a few days you wont even notice the weight anymore.
